Harris Hall Facade Restoration

City College, New York NY

Listed by the New York Landmarks Preservation Commission, the building was the focus of a long restoration process started in early 90’s and completed in 2004. From 2001, TDA, in association with another architectural office, led the Construction Administration Phase for the Façade Restoration. Water damage over the last 100 years made Field Conditions a daily occurrence during construction. Some of the Field Conditions required separate projects in themselves due to the complexity of the problems discovered. The project was featured in specialty magazines (“Traditional Building”, “New York Construction News”) and was awarded the “Design Award of Special Recognition” by SARA.
