Compton Hall Restoration

City College, New York NY

A six years long multi-phase project, and developed at the same time with Goethals Hall (see here), the Project scope required full terra cotta and partial schist stone replacement of the 1908 Landmarks building. A new (Landmarks approved) aluminum insulated window system matching the original design lost) was provided. The original three-year schedule was altered due to: added scope of work, the College Schedule, and Field Conditions, some of which required separate projects - e.g. steel replacement at the parapets – see photos. The project was managed from design to completion by TDA in association with another architectural office.
